If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels like a breath of salty sea air—relaxed, meaningful, and packed with people you genuinely love—Tricia and Erik’s wedding at The Towers in Narragansett is about to be your new favorite. These two are traveling nurses (aka professional calm-under-pressure humans), and that energy carried through the entire day in the best way. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt fussy. Everything felt intentional and fun.
They chose Rhode Island for a deeply personal reason: Erik grew up in nearby Charlestown, and even though they’re currently based outside of DC, getting married here felt like coming home. The Towers was the perfect match—historic, elegant, perched right above the water, and ideal for a celebration that balances classic coastal vibes with “let’s actually enjoy this” energy.
The day began at an Airbnb where Tricia got ready alongside nine attendants (yes, nine—and yes, it felt both cozy and effortless). Hair and makeup wrapped up right on time, with a sweet toast, and that buzzy pre-ceremony excitement filling the space. Tricia slipped into her dress just after 2pm, calm and glowing, while Erik headed out to The Towers with Amanda to get settled.
Their first look happened shortly after, with coastal views stretching out behind them. It was one of those quiet, grounding moments—just the two of them, taking it all in before the celebration kicked into high gear. Exactly the kind of pause that low-maintenance couples who care deeply about presence tend to build into their day.
At 5pm, guests gathered at the gazebo for a ceremony that felt heartfelt without being heavy. One thing that stood out immediately: the size of the wedding party. Tricia and Erik weren’t going for symmetry or tradition—they simply have a lot of very close friends, and they wanted those people front and center. It felt inclusive, joyful, and deeply “them.”
The reception flowed easily from there—great food, packed dance floor, and the kind of laughter that comes from a room full of people who truly know one another. Around 7:15, Tricia and Erik snuck away for sunset photos, and honestly? That golden-hour escape was chef’s kiss. Just enough time to breathe, soak it in, and get some relaxed coastal portraits before rejoining the party.
One important guest was missing: their dog, Crash. While he didn’t attend the wedding, he absolutely deserves an honorable mention. I met him during their engagement session, and he is every bit as sweet as his name is chaotic. He was very much there in spirit.
At the heart of this day was a couple who trusted their people, trusted the process, and prioritized actually enjoying their wedding. Tricia and Erik showed up ready to celebrate—and The Towers delivered the perfect backdrop for it.
If you’re planning a wedding at The Towers in Narragansett and want photos that feel natural, unforced, and true to how the day actually felt—I’d love to talk.
