Jenn and Quincy’s Ballroom at Providence G wedding was one of those days that just felt good from the very beginning. The kind of wedding where you can tell—immediately—that the people at the center of it all have genuinely kind hearts and care deeply about the people around them. They live in NYC now, but with strong ties to Brown University, downtown Providence felt like the perfect place to bring everyone together. Add in a cityscape backdrop, thoughtful planning, and a whole lot of joy, and you’ve got a day that was an absolute dream to photograph.

The day began at the Graduate Hotel at 11 Dorrance St, where I arrived to document getting ready. The vibe was relaxed and happy—natural light, candid moments, makeup finishing touches, and those quiet in-between moments that are such a big part of documentary wedding photography. Both Jenn and Q were buzzing with excitement, and it already felt like a celebration long before the ceremony began.

Their first look happened just after 1pm, and it was incredibly sweet. No rush, no pressure—just the two of them taking a moment to actually see each other and soak it all in. From there, we walked over to the Ballroom at Providence G, stopping for a few city stroll photos along the way. Downtown Providence really showed off that day, and the rooftop portraits were a highlight—classic, elegant, and full of personality.

One of the most meaningful parts of the ceremony was the incorporation of Korean traditions. As Jenn and Quincy arrived at the altar, they bowed first to Jenn’s parents and then to Quincy’s parents as a sign of gratitude. It was such a powerful, grounding moment. These are the kinds of moments that make candid wedding photography so meaningful, because they’re about connection, not performance.

The ceremony itself took place in the ballroom, followed by cocktail hour on the rooftop. Guests mingled with skyline views, drinks in hand, and the kind of energy that says, “Yep, this party is going to be good.” Inside, the decor was thoughtful and personal, including a pair of duck symbols woven throughout the stationery and decor—a nod to Korean tradition. A pair of ceramic and wooden ducks sat on the sweetheart table, quietly symbolizing partnership and harmony.

Once the reception kicked off, the ballroom came alive – including a surprise wedding anniversary announcement for Quincy’s parents (cue happy tears). Speeches were heartfelt, funny, and incredibly personal. And when the dance floor officially opened? Let’s just say Epic Entertainment understood the assignment. The energy stayed high all night, and the joy was contagious.
