Hello there! I’m Nicole – a wedding and portrait photographer based in Rhode Island, and I’d love to help you tell your unique story.
All of us have unique stories to tell. Our lives are full of fleeting, delightful experiences – of love, raw emotion, humor…vulnerability. These experiences are valuable, and they are worth pausing for. They make our lives richer. They deserve to be remembered. My approach to photography is to help you tell your story and to capture the delightful experiences so you can relive them and share them with others.
Wedding coverage starts at $2000. Elopement pricing starts at $900. Portrait sessions for children, families, couples, and individuals start at $350. That said, I’m eager to work with all sorts of people, so please reach out if you like my photos, and we can talk about what works best for your needs and budget.
I was born in Hardin, Montana, and I grew up in New York City. My first camera was a Polaroid OneStep – I got it for my 10th birthday. I took my first photo class when I was 15 – we used black & white film, and there was an actual darkroom. And about 10 years later, I started the business that would become Nicole Marcelle Photography 🙂
Today, I’m married to the love of my life – he’s a sculptor – and we have two amazing kids. (Seriously. They are awesome humans – creative and empathetic and smart as whips.)
And I get to take photos – and watch people laugh and love and eat cake. And it’s a huge privilege that makes my heart sing.
Absolutely, I will send you a link to a couple entire shoots that are similar to yours after our first chat.
Portrait and engagement sessions are usually ready within 4 weeks. Wedding images take about 7-8 weeks. Your contract will have a specific date when you can expect to see all your photos - and I usually email a few sneak peeks a couple days after your shoot.
Yes! You will get a USB drive with (unwatermarked) photos - and the files are large enough to make prints. More details on this are in my contract.
There's really no limit. I shoot the entire time I am with you, and I typically deliver about 50-75 images per hour of shooting, depending on the flow of the day and activities.
I generally deliver most of my images in color and a few in black and white. If you'd like more black and white images in your coverage please let me know - I'm happy to accommodate if I know your preferences.
All of my clients receive a USB drive of (unwatermarked) high-resolution jpeg images, suitable for large-scale printing. Specific details about all this are in my contract.
I can easily adapt to any weather situation! (In fact, some of my favorite wedding photos have happened when things don’t go as planned.) If we've scheduled a portrait session on a date and it rains, I may suggest rescheduling.
Very important question. I have several well-established photographer colleagues who will provide exceptional coverage and images in the case of an emergency. This is also an excellent reason to include a second photographer, and most of my full-day coverage options include this.
Yes, this is an absolute necessity. I am happy to show you a valid certificate of insurance.
